1. Services Provided

Principal Roofing and Exterior Contractors ("the Company", "we", "us") provides residential and commercial roofing, siding, eavestroughs, and related exterior services in York Region, Simcoe County, and surrounding areas of Ontario, Canada.

2. Quotes and Estimates

All quotes and estimates provided — whether in writing, by phone, or through this website — are based on information available at the time of the assessment. Final pricing may be adjusted if:

• Hidden damage (rot, structural issues) is discovered during tear-off
• The scope of work changes at the client's request
• Material costs change significantly between quote and project start

Any changes to the quoted price will be communicated and agreed upon in writing before additional work proceeds.

3. Warranties

3.1 Workmanship Warranty

Principal Roofing provides a workmanship warranty on all completed roofing projects. The specific warranty period will be stated in your written contract. This warranty covers defects arising from our installation — not damage from weather events, acts of God, or improper maintenance.

3.2 Manufacturer Warranty

As an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, we can register qualifying products for the SureStart™ PLUS warranty, which covers both materials and workmanship. Specific terms are defined by Owens Corning and provided separately.

4. Client Responsibilities

By engaging our services, you confirm that you:

• Are the property owner or have the legal authority to authorize roofing work
• Will provide safe and reasonable access to the property on agreed-upon work dates
• Will ensure that vehicles and fragile items are moved away from the work area
• Will review and sign a written contract before work begins on larger projects

5. Payment Terms

Payment terms are outlined in your written contract. Typically, a deposit is required to secure your project date, with the balance due upon project completion and your satisfaction. We accept cash, cheque, e-Transfer, and major credit cards.

6. Insurance and Liability

Principal Roofing and Exterior Contractors carries comprehensive general liability insurance and WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board) coverage for all crew members. Certificates of insurance are available upon request.

Our liability is limited to the value of the contracted work. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, interior damage caused by pre-existing conditions, or damage resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

7. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel a scheduled appointment with at least 48 hours' notice at no charge. Cancellations of signed project contracts may be subject to reasonable deposit retention to cover mobilization costs already incurred.
